Some radiation properties of a pulsed ultraviolet N_2-laser with a transverse discharge

Annotation

An experimental study was made of the transverse structure, time dependence, and spatial coherence of the radiation from a pulsed ultraviolet laser having an active medium of N2 and operating at a wavelength of λ=3371 А. The transverse structure of the structure of the laser beam is found to depend on the mirror adjustment, and the radiation is found to be coherent over the entire aperture. The use of an amplifier is suggested for increasing the efficiency of such lasers.
