Interaction between the velocity field and turbidity field of a suspensionladen stream is examined on the basis of statistical identification of dynamical systems. It is shown that the amplitude-frequency response of the velocityturbidity system presents additional information on the effect of stream velocity fluctuations on turbidity fluctuation at different frequencies.
