Beam-wave asymptotic state in plasma systems

Annotation

The state of a wave beam in an unbounded plasma which appears at the stage of wave capture and particle phase mixing is analyzed. The mean state is described by means of nonlinear kinetic, self-consistent equations, and the plasma remains a linear, dispersing medium. Equations are obtained which describe the nonlinear state of a wave beam, by means of which it is possible to obtain detailed information about the characteristics of the particular system.
