Annotation
Results are presented from an experimental study of the propagation of acoustic waves in a medium with gas bubbles. It is noted that the dispersive properties of the medium predominate over the nonlinear properties. Autofocussing of an acoustic beam is observed, in which the frequency of the acoustic wave is much greater than the bubble frequency.
