Peculiarities of static displacements around solitary impurity atoms in the HCP lattice

Annotation

Calculations of displacement fields in the vicinity of solitary substitutional impurity atoms in the hexagonal closed-packed (HCP) structure performed in the microscopic approximation revealed a nonchaotic character of arrangement of the displacement vectors of matrix atoms. This was caused both by the size difference between the impurity and the matrix atoms and by special features of the HCP structure.
