A three-dimensional chronometrically invariant vector potential for inertial forces is constructed within the framework of the three-dimensional, chonometrically invariant, two-metric formalism from the components of the metric tensor gαβ. The concept of an inertial reference system is formulated for undeformed reference systems in which time can be synchronized at all spatial points, and an expression is found for the inertial force in terms of its potential.
