A pyroelectric transducer of turbulent fluctuations

Annotation

A device for measuring turbulent fluctuations in liquids is described. A pyroelectric transducer of TsTS-19 [lead zirconate-titanate] ceramic measures the temperature fluctuations induced by changes in flow velocity. The transducer effectiveness is improved by artificial heating. An elementary calculation Is presented of the output signal for the case of harmonic fluctuations.
