Resonant interaction between an incident electron and an oxygen molecule adsorbed on an oxidized metal

Annotation

The interaction between an electron and an adsorbed oxygen molecule is discussed. A mechanism is proposed for this interaction that explains the peak on the electron-stimulated desorption at an electron energy of 13 eV.
