Annotation

A theoretical study is made of photoionization for excited states of the sodium atom $1s^22s^22p^23p^2P_J$ at energies up to 3 Rу. The energy dependence of the parameters completely describing the process has been derived. The photoabsorption cross section, the polarization, and the angular distributions of the photoelectrons are examined for conditions characteristic of current experiments.
