Annotation

A scheme of wide-band acoustic spectrometer is proposed for investigating the dynamic properties of condensed media. To produce acoustic pluses use is made of an optoacoustic generator with thermooptical sound excitation. The frequency dependence of acoustic absorption in water suspensions of bentonite clays in the 1-14 MHz range has been obtained and the relaxation parameters of these suspensions have been calculated.
