Annotation

It is shown that in the flow of the Indonesian-Australian winter monsoon the layer of atmospheric ozone exhibits a strong upwelling and becomes thinner, while the total amount of ozone in it decreases (by 10% on the average) sometimes to record values of less than 200 D.U. This creates the danger of exposing the Earth's biosphere, including the population of south-east Asia, to high dozes of ultraviolet radiation.
