Annotation
It is shown that the condition of sourcewise representability of the exact solution to an operator equation of the first kind widely applied in theoretical studies allows one not only to construct a method which is optimal with respect to the accuracy order, but also to produce an a posteriori error estimate. The method of expanding compacta is proposed.
