Annotation
The problem of effective rank (maximal dimensionality of measured signal estimate as a function of controlled root-mean-square estimation error) of an infinite-dimensional linear measurement model has been considered. An effective rank of the model, in which an instrument effect on the signal is described by an arbitrary linear bounded operator, has been found.
