The influence of Coulomb attraction in the electron-hole pair on luminescence of phosphor crystals with traps
The influence of Coulomb attraction in the electron-hole pair on luminescence of phosphor crystals with traps
A.N. Vasil'ev$^1$, A.V. Nesterov$^2$
Within the two-channel model of recombination luminescence, the dependence of recombination parameters on the initial distance between the electron-hole pair components was obtained. Taking into account Coulomb attraction in the electron-hole pair, the quantum yield and the recombination rate were calculated. The suggested model was shown to introduce substantial corrections into the results of calculations based on the model of a "black sphere" with a radius equal to the Onsager radius.

Two-wavelength solid-state laser with spatial wave separation
V.G. Voronin, O.E. Nanii
A two-wavelength solid-state YAG:Nd$^{3+}$ laser generating radiation at wavelengths of 1.32 and 1.05 μm has been experimentally implemented and investigated. Weakening the competition between the waves generated in a specially designed dispersive cavity has improved the stability of two-wavelength generation mode.

The density pulsations in front of and behind a shock wave in a turbulent gas have been studied experimentally and theoretically. The pulsations growth coefficient has been measured and calculated, the change in the pulsations correlation coefficient upon the transition over the shock wave front determined, and the turbulence scale for different shock wave Mach numbers evaluated. The experiments have been carried out in a shock tube, the flow has been turbulized using a net. Turbulence is modeled by a sequence of velocity pulses. The experimental and calculated data are in close agreement.

Formula for series resistance of a solar cell with a conducting antireflection coating
G.G. Untila, A.S. Osipov, A.B. Chebotareva
An analytic expression for the effective series resistance of an $(n^+$-$p)$Si solar cell with an antireflection coating made of an optically transparent conducting oxide such as indium-tin oxide (ITO) is derived. The obtained expression is the resistance dependence on the solar cell parameters, namely, the ITO film and the $n^+$-layer resistances, the contact resistance between the $n^+$-layer and ITO, the width of metallic bands in the current-collecting grid, and on the interband distance.

Fair weather field over continents and oceans. Tidal electric fields over the Earth's surface
V.I. Grigor'ev, V.S. Rostovskii
It is shown that the interpretation of the geoelectric field as a result of baroelectric redistribution of charges in the Earth caused by tidal effects makes it possible to explain the difference in time dependence of the fair weather field over continents and oceans.

Ю.В. Попов, К.А.

Statistical thermodynamics of nonspherical molecules systems
P.N. Nikolayev
An analytical expression has been obtained for the free energy of nonspherical molecnles systems in a solid-state approximation on the basis of an asymptotic expansion method. This expression makes it possible to identify thermodynamic characteristics, which are in good agreement with the experimental data for binary molecules and with the numerical experiment data within the limits of their accuracy.

A.N. Bogolyubov, M.E. Sukhov
The parabolic correction method and the method of spectrum restriction with spectral band isolation are used to construct stable numerical algorithms for calculating waveguide systems of superhigh-frequency electrodynamics and of integral and fiber optics. Examples of numerical calculations have been given.
