Annotation
A model is considered for a relativistic high-current UHF amplifier in which the diameter of the periodic slow-wave system is many wave-lengths. The stationary case is examined, the discussion being restricted to the interaction of an electron beam with axially symmetrical waves of E type. The simulation has been performed by the reference-particle method, with the electromagnetic field in the slow-wave system calculated by Galerkin's method.
