A Scheme of Weak Interaction with Two Bosons

A Scheme of Weak Interaction with Two Bosons

V.I. Kushtan

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1966. 21. N 6. P. 5

A scheme of weak interaction with two sorts of intermediate vector particles is considered and the properties of the scheme investigated. A concept of cp-invariance violation due to the difference between the particle interactions is introduced.

Investigation of the Emission of Y^{85}and Sb^{118}

Investigation of the Emission of Y^{85}and Sb^{118}

K.A. Baskova, S.S. Vasil'ev, M.A. Khamo-Leila, and L.Ya. Shavtvalov

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1966. 21. N 6. P. 8

The β- and γ- emissions of Y^{85} and Sb^{118} were investigated using a magnetic-lens γ-spectrometer and scintillation β- and y-spectrometers. Results of measurements of βγ-coincidences corroborated the decay scheme of Y^{85}. The β-transition with 480 keV cutoff energy previously suggested from energy-balance considerations was observed in Sb^{118}. Measured βγ-coincidences confirmed the decay scheme of Sb^{118}previously arrived at from γγ-coincidences and energy-balance considerations.

The Description of Stable and Metastable Bound States in the Representation of Interactions

The Description of Stable and Metastable Bound States in the Representation of Interactions

V.A. Onishchuk

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1966. 21. N 6. P. 11

The S-matrix formalism developed for describing scatter processes in field theory can be used to find the levels of bound states and their eigenvectors, and for metastable states and their widths. These assertions are considered in detail for Lee's model [1]. The formalism can be extended to the case of metric [2].

A Modified Self-Consistent Field Method in the Theory of Liquids or Gases

A Modified Self-Consistent Field Method in the Theory of Liquids or Gases

I.P. Bazarov

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1966. 21. N 6. P. 15

An expression is obtained for the free energy of the spatially homogeneous phase in the self-consistent field approximation and, as applied to liquids or gases, a modified self-consistent field method is shown to give results which are qualitatively correct and of the right order.

Large-Signal Output Parameters of Transistors

Large-Signal Output Parameters of Transistors

L.N. Kaptsov and S.M. El Khalavani

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1966. 21. N 6. P. 19

The average values (with respect to the first harmonic) of transistor parameters are investigated both theoretically and experimentally as a function of the oscillation amplitude in a common-emitter configuration, when there is no bias current in the base circuit. It is shown that the effect of oscillation amplitude variation on the transistor parameters is most marked for oscillation amplitudes which are small in comparison with the collector supply voltage, and must be allowed for in designing the parameters of oscillatory circuits in the collector circuit.

Behavior of a Strongly Alloyed Semiconductor in an Electric Field

Behavior of a Strongly Alloyed Semiconductor in an Electric Field

Z.A. Kasamanyan

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1966. 21. N 6. P. 24

The density of states of a strongly alloyed semiconductor in an external constant electric field is considered. Explicit formulas are obtained for comparatively weak and comparatively strong fields. The external field can be a dislocation field, assumed approximately constant.

Renormalization in a Quantum Field Theoretical Model with Three Degrees of Freedom

Renormalization in a Quantum Field Theoretical Model with Three Degrees of Freedom

V.B. Gostev

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1966. 21. N 6. P. 29

The coupling constants and heavy particle operators are renormalized in a simple quantum field theoretical model with three types of fixed particle, interacting by exchange of relativistic bosons. A nonanalytic dependence is found between the renormalized coupling constant λ1 and the "internal" coupling constant λ02. The region of permissible values of the renormalized coupling constants is found for a given cut-off momentum (energy).

Quantum Hydrodynamical Equations that Allow for Dissipative Processes

Quantum Hydrodynamical Equations that Allow for Dissipative Processes

V.A. Krasnikov

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1966. 21. N 6. P. 33

Quantum statistics are used to derive hydrodynamical equations that allow for dissipative viscosity, diffusion and heat conduction processes. No use is made of the kinetic equation.

Parametric Frequency Dividers with Modulated Pumping

Parametric Frequency Dividers with Modulated Pumping

M.I. Divlekeev and О.I. Mednikov

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1966. 21. N 6. P. 40

The effect of amplitude and frequency modulation of the input signals in two-tank parametric frequency dividers is investigated. It is shown that amplitude modulation is strongly suppressed. In the case of frequency division of an FM-signal, the deviation is reduced by a factor n.
