Zenon quantum effect in а system with memory

Zenon quantum effect in а system with memory

D.А. Slavnov

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1996. 1996. N 3. P. 5

An experiment demonstrating the Zenon quantum effect has been explained in terms of the quantum model with memory. It has been shown that the reason for the effect is the interaction between а quantum atomic system and the classical fields rather than the measurement process proper. This interaction results in violating the coherence of wave function components corresponding to different energy levels in atoms.

It is shown that in the scalar-tensor theory of gravitation with specially selected constraint equation, the cosmological model makes it possible to describe the Нubblе law and to reconcile the observed delay parameter value q=5 with а $3\cdot 10^{-31} g/cm^3 substance density in the Universe.

Mathematical modeling of а nuclear energy surface

Mathematical modeling of а nuclear energy surface

О.Р. Badaev

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1996. 1996. N 3. P. 15

А new method for describing most accurately а nuclear energy surface bу parts of paraboloids forming а continuous energy surface ($\sigma\sim0,1 МeV$) has been suggested. The parameters of the surface, wblch are common to а series of nucleus regions bordering each other, do not change, and their values can Ье extended to the regions of the nuclei that have not yet been examined. This made it possiЫe to describe the energies of $\alpha$-active nuclei with 82<N<126 and to predict more reliaЬly the energies of nuclei that cannot bе studied experimentally. The curvature of the isobaric sections of nuclear energy surface increases in passing from neutron-deficient to neutron-rich nuclei.

А.А. Kuzovnikov, А.V. Ponomareva, and V.S. Sviridkina

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1996. 1996. N 3. P. 33

The results ofmathematical modeling of СО oxidation processes in plasmochemical systems containing СО, 02 , Н20 and N2 with allowance for the formation of vibrationally excited nitrogen molecules in а plasma and for their participation in chemical processes have been presented. The calculations have shown that the use of а nonequilibrium plasma ($T_е$=1eV,$Т_0$= 700К, $n_e/n_0=5\cdot10{-6}$)in modeling carbon monoxide oxidation processes with allowance made for vibrational excitation of nitrogen molecules does not decrease the degree of СО oxidation, but leads to an increase in the СО oxidation process time Ьу an order of magnitude. The quantity of forming nitrogen oxides and dioxides NO and N02 is insignificant.

Electron absorption spectra of а new first synthesized compound, photoЬiotin, have been investigated in relation to the рН value and to an exposure dose of an aqueous solution of this compound. Optimal conditions of labeling nucleic acids with the new photoblotin have been determined. The proposed method of labeling nucleic acids proved to bе very sensitive. The spectral and photochemical characteristics ofthe new photoblotin are compared with the characteristics of biotins investigated earlier.

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1996. 1996. N 3. P. 42

The influence of the polarization state of а ferroelectric on 1the voltage-capacitance and voltage-current characteristics of metal-ferro.electric film-silicon structures has been studied. The thermofield processing has b 1een demonstrated to cause not only the repolarization of the ferroelectric but a1so the recharging of electron traps. The mass spectroscopy method was used to record the desorption of various atoms and molecules from the surface of the structure on heating above the phase transition temperature.

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1996. 1996. N 3. P. 48

The proЫem of dynamic X-ray diffraction according to Brag;g Ьу а crystal in which ultrasonic wave is excited has been considered. The four-wave approximation is used to oЪtain an analytical solution to the proЫem for X-ray-acoustic resonance $k_s\simeq\Delta K_0$, where k, is the ultrasonic wave vector and $\Delta K_0$ is the minimum splitting of the two-wave dispersion surface in diffraction Ьу an ideal crystal). Based on the oЪtained solution, the dependence of tbe structure of the curve of diffraction reflection on the amplitude of ultrasound has been examined.

Frequency of geomagnetic field inversions as а function of solar system position in the Galaxy

К.V. Semenkov

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1996. 1996. N 3. P. 53

The connection between the position of the Sun in the Galaxy and geodynamic phenomena is studied. The proЫem of the Sun's motion in the Galaxy has been solved without taking the influence of spiral arms into account. The Sun's orblt has been calculated for а particular form of the Galaxy potential. The Fourier analysis of the frequency of inversions of the magnetic field of the Earth as а function of time has been carried out. It has been shown that the frequency of inversions of the magnetic field of the Earth increased when the Sun left the spiral arm; the geomagnetic activity increased when the Sun either intersected the Galaxy plane or was at minimum separation from its center.

М.V. Sazhin and V.V. Shul'ga

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1996. 1996. N 3. P. 61

The formation of the cosmic microwave background radiation polarization in observations of standard recombination is discussed. The polarization level in observations using antennas with different sizes of directivity patterns over the angle range varying from 3 to 15°С has Ъееn calculated. The formation ofpolarization was calculated in models with different kinds of spectra (for the spectrum index n = 1 and 1.5) and with different kinds of disturbances. Scalar disturbances and gravitational waves have Ъееn considered separately. The degree of the cosmic microwave background radiation polarization has bееn calculated.

The radiation directivity of tsunami produced bу vertical shoves of the ocean floor in rectangular sources is analyzed within the framework of the linear theory of waves on the basis of numerical calculations of integrals. It has been found that the duration of swab shove of the ocean floor influences the wave radiation directivity. It has been shown that the directivity of energy radiation is preserved with distance from the source, whereas the wave amplitude distribution in the azimuthal angle tends to bе isotropic.

Yu.К. Alekseev, D.М. Petrov, and А.Р. Sukhorukov

Moscow University Physics Bulletin 1996. 1996. N 3. P. 83

We have considered the cascade longitudinal modulation and grouping of an electron stream passing through а succession of thin diaphragms under the assumption that on either side of each diaphragm an arbltrary set of alternating electric fields of various frequencies, amplitudes, and phases acts on the electrons. An expression for the density of the output convective current has been derived, limit transitions to some special modulator configurations have been performed, and the feasibility of efficiently controlling the first current harmonic bу simultaneous double-frequency infiuence upon the electron stream has been demonstrated.
